Male required.  There is an occupational requirement for a male to meet the demands of male only referrals. (The requirement for a male is Exempt under Paragraph 1 Schedule 9 Equality Act 2010).

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic male ETA who is committed and hard working. The work in a teaching and learning setting will be with students of both gender, however, we are looking to appoint a male due to the specific and individual needs of some of our male students who require a higher level of intimate care.

Ravenshall School is a larger than average special school catering for the complex needs of pupil’s age 5 to 19.  Our students have learning difficulties; many having communication, sensory, mobility and medical needs.

It is essential that the successful applicants should have experience of dealing with children and young people, preferably within a School environment.  Well-developed skills in behaviour and communication strategies would be an advantage as many of our students experience social, emotional and mental health challenges.  Applications are invited from individuals who are able to work as part of a team to support the learning, behaviour and welfare of pupils in school.

The successful candidate will enjoy being part of a professional and energetic team, be keen to provide varied social learning experiences forming strong relationships with children and young people.

The hours of work will be 8.30am – 3.15pm
