Leading Science across our secondary academies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented leader to promote and develop science across our secondary schools. The postholder will work with colleagues, including subject leaders, to improve curriculum and teaching. This role is ideal preparation for the highest levels of senior leadership or an opportunity to specialise in science at a senior level. The postholder will work with our outstanding trust improvement team, which has supported a huge rise in standards across our schools.
We would love to hear from you, if you can demonstrate:
- A love of teaching science;
- A clear and compelling vision for the science curriculum;
- A strong track record as a teacher, with the ability to enthuse pupils;
- An ability to lead and inspire colleagues;
- A successful track record of coaching and supporting colleagues, to improve standards.
We put people first in our trust. This is reflected in our core belief of ‘Valuing People, Supporting Personal Best’. We offer first class training, with internal leadership programmes complementing the extensive offer we can deliver as the Teaching School Hub for Calderdale and Kirklees. We allow our leaders to make decisions and take responsibility, whilst offering the support they need to be a success. This commitment has helped us buck the national trend with recruitment and retention. Many of our staff tell us they would not be willing to work anywhere else.
The successful candidate will be based in a ‘home’ school. We are willing to negotiate the best location to attract the right candidate. We offer a first-class benefits package, competitive salaries and opportunities to develop your career. Above all, we provide a warm, friendly, supportive environment that helps our colleagues to thrive.
Due to the safer recruitment requirements for staff working in education, we cannot accept CVs.
Please go to the EVERY Education Candidate Portal, to register and to complete an online application form.
Interviews will take place on Tuesday 28th November 2023 at Thornhill Community Academy
