The job supports both Huddersfield and Dewsbury Customer Service Centres which provide help and support on Council services to a wide range of Kirklees customers. We welcome a conversation around flexible working arrangements. The role also supports the Registration Service.

The job of Business Analyst is to create intelligent systems for monitoring service and staff data and analyse information to help Service managers ensure the Centres are run efficiently and respond to the council’s mission and values, as well as provide more general business support functions.

Understanding the self-serve approach to delivering frontline services, you will be interested in how your role can best support Digital inclusion and Place Based Working agendas.  You will take pride in your work and share the same passion for customer service as is delivered in our Centres on the frontline.  You will have the ability to take large volumes of data and create monitoring systems and, from there, create reports which are comprehensive and well structured.  Your further skill will be in developing a time efficient approach to inputting and an ability to present complex data simply.  You will be interested in continuous improvement of that data and be skilled in its analysis, because you understand the strong connection between information and the ability to manage staff and service performance.

You have excellent computer skills, are organised and can manage a varied and demanding workload.  You can explain information clearly and you are confident in liaising with a range of different stakeholders in the course of your work. Data is only as good as the intelligence it provides – and key to presenting intelligence would be your ability to communicate effectively. You will be keen to expand your learning as technology and change agendas emerge.  You will be enthusiastic about efficiency opportunities and resourceful in ensuring your skills and knowledge are able to adapt.

We welcome individuals who are creative and offer constructive challenge.

Some of the staff benefits we offer in return include:

  • Employee Healthcare
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Discounts with local and national retailers
  • An organisational culture dedicated to learning and development
  • Opportunities for flexible working arrangements

Interviews starting week commencing the 18th July 2022.
