Kirklees Council are advertisng this job on behalf of Fusion Housing.

We have a vacancy for a FINANCE ASSISTANT within our Business Support Team based in Huddersfield.  The Business Support Team is responsible for administration, finance, human resources and health and safety for the organisation, supporting five different services across four locations.

We are looking for someone with experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Posting supplier invoices and credit notes/refunds onto SAGE 50 (or equivalent) accounts package 
  • Cash handling including, banking and petty cash reconciliation
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers and other departments
  • Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office packages
  • Rent accounting systems

Applicants must:

  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines efficiently and pro-actively
  • Have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills
