Highways and Operations Service provide a service that focuses on maintaining and improving Kirklees roads and pavements, improving safety, supporting local communities and economies whilst encouraging environmentally friendly travel.

You will contribute to providing high quality maintenance of the roads and footpaths across the Kirklees district that improve the lives of people living and travelling in our area.

You will work as a Highways Maintenance Roadworker Apprentice. You will complete a Highways Maintenance Apprenticeship and you will gain a level 2 qualification.  College attendance and successful completion of these studies is an essential requirement of this Apprenticeship.

You will learn and put into practice a broad range of skills (including project management and engagement and consultation) which are required for the maintenance and improvement of Kirklees Highways Operations.  You will provide support and assistance to other workers who will be part of your team.
