Learn skills to be able to look after trees including planting, pruning and cutting down trees of all sizes within Kirklees including use of chainsaws and climbing trees
You will work as an Apprentice Arborist. You will be required to complete a 2 year training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through attendance at college or other distance learning methods delivered by Askham Bryan College and on job the training. You will complete the Arborist Apprentice scheme.
The Arborist level 2 apprenticeship standard will be over 24 months with training delivered at the College via one week block attendance on average every 5-6 weeks. The apprenticeship standard has been designed by the Arboriculture industry for apprentices who are starting their careers in tree surgery as aerial and ground based operators.
