We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Corporation who can provide high quality advice, guidance and support to the Corporation and its committees on all corporate governance issues and the organisation of Corporation and committee meetings.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a broad grasp of issues relating to the governance of, and an understanding of the legal principles underpinning the operation of an FE College.
You will have excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to prioritise your workload and to work on your own initiative. You will be experienced in preparing minutes and reports, and be confident to give sound advice to the Governing Body whilst working effectively with the Principal / Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, and other key managers to ensure that the Governors are able to discharge their duties effectively. We are seeking a strong individual who is passionate about teaching and learning, and who would like to be part of an ambitious College, with an aspiration to improve the communities it serves. Experience of the Further Education sector would be an advantage, but not essential.
